Why this job matters

Provides the most cost effective, fit for purpose and flexible operational estate environment that meets the evolving needs of BT platforms and customers.

Uses the power of communication to gain clear understanding of the business needs and translate it through the operational estate.

Has ownership of operational estate cost information ensuring accurate reporting into transformation and growth programs, supporting business case development, and assisting with Finance / IFRS16 Property reporting data.

Supports in time property invoice payments via relevant approval systems, working with Accounts Payable and suppliers on invoice issue resolution.

What you will be doing - Your accountabilities

  • Property relevant invoice approvals for lease fees, service charges, electricity charges, taxes through Mark View

  • Cost relevant supplier management validating cost increases and decreases with suppliers and landlords.

  • Costs updates in a central cost and lease term database

  • Price escalation and lease document archiving

  • Footprints management of sublet and TSA/NSA lease remit by Merger and Acquisitions

  • IFRS16 support

  • Property data alignment across multiple databases including SRIMS, Colliers360

Skills you need in order to succeed

  • Fluent in written and oral English

  • Very good negotiation skills

  • Colocation contract knowledge

  • Knowledge of operational estate globally

  • Knowledge of M&E plant in datacenters

  • Property / commercial experience

  • MarkView / GFP experience

  • Merger &Acquisition experience

  • Excel and database management knowledge

  • Managing dilapidation schedule / accruals

  • Project management PRINCE2 or similar certificate

  • Ability to own outcomes

  • Commercial awareness

  • Having a growth mindset

Experience we would expect you to have

  • Significant experience of property management

  • Significant experience of financial and commercial management

  • Experience of Project management

  • Preferably Merger &Acquisition experience

  • Preferable M&E plant experience
