Why this role matters

This role is responsible for delivering end to end ownership & management of non-standard/complex bid responses (generally revenues of circa £2m ), enabling Enterprise to win profitable and sustainable business. This role has the overall accountability for ensuring BT governance is adhered to and risk is managed. As well as driving a great sales experience, this role delivers improved customer experience and directly impacts on the success of the Sales functions within Enterprise

What you'll be doing

Own & be accountable for the end to end compilation of non-standard/complex bid responses. Adhere to best practice & take accountability for all documentation pertaining to the bid and governance processes

Implement approved bid processes & governance to ensure a fully compliant bid response - ensuring appropriate sign offs are obtained throughout

Drive the development of a winning bid strategy in consultation with sales & the virtual bid team. Facilitate the development of the overall solution to meet customer requirements whilst safeguarding the business

Proactively set & manage key milestones & deadlines to ensure on time delivery of key actions, including running regular bid calls, hosting workshops, capturing & driving progress on all actions & actively working to remove roadblocks

Manage bid process to agreed methodology, ensuring quality and tone of bid response is consistent and that appropriate preparation is in place for governance activities

Ensure risks & issues are identified, managed & mitigated

Manage virtual teams made up of specialists to effectively manage bid responses to agreed deliverables & timescales

Provide required input and insight for bid qualification and effective triaging/classification of opportunities

Lead on lessons learned, providing bid insight & win / loss data, & ensure identified improvements are implemented. Regularly share knowledge to support an environment of continuous learning & improvement

Strong Bid experience – with experience of managing complex bid responses cross portfolio

Commercial Acumen - knowledge of commercial and customer drivers and requirements. Ability to summarise commercial propositions

Excellent communication skills - written & verbal to influence, inspire and inform. Ability to listen to other people’s views while having the confidence in own convictions and express own opinion

Organisation and Communication - possess excellent organisation and communication skills, with proven ability to develop & execute clear plans – resolving challenges / conflict, whilst maintaining high energy

Stakeholder & virtual team management – Proven track record of ability and gravitas to develop strong Stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organisation. Ability to lead and motivate virtual teams to produce quality submissions
