Why this job matters

As a Contract Manager, you’ll be responsible for contract management within the Defence sector including revenue and cost, contract obligations, supplier management, risk management as well as the opportunity to be involved in wider initiatives across the team. We manage BT Business’ largest managed contracts; managing business as usual service delivery alongside constant change to deliver projects and new business. Delivering capability to the Ministry of Defence with all the challenges they face is a pivotal part of this role.

What you’ll be doing

• Contract management of a defined contract or service within the Defence sector.

• Management of financial forecast including working closely with the contract finance team.

• Delivery of contract obligations and risk management.

• Working with third party suppliers relevant to your contract.

• Involvement with delivering business as usual, projects and new change proposals.

• Stakeholder management of the contract owner and end user, including spending time customer-facing.

What we expect to see on your CV

• Contract management experience and an understanding of contract management, large delivery contracts and processes such as project management, ITIL and contract and risk management.

• Working end-to-end on contracts including being proficient in termination and exit plans.

• Financial awareness.

• Experience working in complex environments/large programmes and the ability to work across organisational boundaries.

• Experience building strategic relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.

• Willing and able to undergo Security Check (SC) level Security Clearance, Developed Vetting (DV) level would be desirable - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels
