Our partners are key for BT Business to grow and protect our revenue through how we leverage the partnership ecosystem.

As part of Business, we created a new function, Strategy & Partnerships, to unlock potential with our partners and improve linkage between strategy and partnership execution.

This role is critical to drive a successful relationship with Cisco (all UK and global channels) for our business unit, delivering on the partnership strategy and go-to-market plan. The individual will own our multi-year Technology Training and Skills Plan to ensure we maintain our strategic Cisco status and unlock new Cisco certifications (e.g., designations & specialisations), which provide us with commercial and reputational advantages.

This role also delivers critical prerequisites, outside of core individual certifications, that enable us to maintain our Cisco accreditations, including delivery of our Customer Experience practice.

This role is responsible for influencing, and collaborating with, a much broader set of stakeholders within the sales, product, commercial, strategy and technology functions across the UK and in Global channels.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Responsible for the Cisco learning and development strategy and governance model.

  2. Project manage the multi-year Technology Training and Skills Plan aligned with Cisco’s current and future certifications (e.g., designations & specialisations, succession planning.).

  3. Ensure we maintain our Cisco Global and Local Designations and Specialisations, ensuring compliance per specific Country/Region; track and report, and optimise, to maximise commercial position and maintain learning budgets.

  4. Provide support to individuals requiring Cisco training that underpins BT’s global certifications to ensure that BT has required number and quality of skilled people.

  5. Responsible for maintaining BT’s compliance with Cisco’s Customer Experience and Gold programs.

  6. Maintaining the Cisco Partner Programs certifications dashboard.

  7. Support Executive reporting and performance reviews, e.g., Quarterly Business Reviews,

  8. Support on go-to-market training and sales enablement requirements.

The skills and experience you’ll have under your belt

SKILLS

• Ability to think strategically about the Cisco partner relationship aligned to BT’s priorities.

• Excellent relationship-building ability across internal and external stakeholders; ability to make recommendations and communicate for approval.

• A growth mindset and a clear focus on value creation

• Ability to provide expert support, guidance and management of certifications relating to Cisco Partner Programs

• Proactive approach to mitigating risks within framework. Manages conflicting priorities for successful delivery.

EXPERIENCE

• Experience of working with technology partners, ideally with a working knowledge of Cisco certification processes and requirements

• Strong awareness of BT tech, associated markets, partners and competitors

• Delivering certifications and audits at a large scale.

• Storytelling with data and flair: strong skills in building the case for change, drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate, and communicating this to business audiences.
