Why this role matters

As a member of the Service Assurance team you will be responsible for assurance of multiple aspects of the Security Service Delivery offering on a global basis. You will work closely with Operational Managers, Heads of Service, Portfolio and Sales teams in order to ensure efficient, scalable and in-demand services are constructed in line with operational strategy and agreed capabilities.

What you'll be doing

You will support all aspects of the bid and contract delivery cycles and provide expert guidance on Security Service Delivery operational processes, capabilities and commercial impacts. You will:

  • Triage all new bids presented to the Security Huddle calls, requiring Service Assurance engagement.

  • Be responsible for the accuracy and recording of all new bid requests passed through the triage process requiring Service Delivery engagement.

  • Hold ownership of standard bid service assurances.

  • Assist senior Security Service Assurance team members in non-standard and complex bid service assurances, with specific key responsibilities.

  • Hold ownership of internal Service Assurance Team Huddle calls.

  • Complete initial review of bid documentation, identifying any immediate applicable risks.

  • Attend bid calls, provide guidance and input, ensuring correct processes and strategic direction are followed.

  • Hold ownership of Security Service Delivery Assurance checkpoint calls.

  • Present assurance statuses and bid summaries to Head of Service, ensuring they are suitably informed ahead of final Security sign-off.

  • Attend Security sign-off calls as Service Assurance representative for standard bids.

  • Knowledge of security management, service management and/or information security.

  • Relevant experience in process and service engineering.

  • Relevant experience in operational bid response, planning for and/or delivering new and incremental solutions into service.

  • Experience in service, operational design or assurance role and/or experience working within a managed security organisation.

  • Good understanding of data protection principles.

  • Knowledge of cyber and security risk controls.

  • Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.

  • Good analytical data skills.

  • Investigative mind-set.

  • Analysis and interpretation of data.

  • Hunting instinct and problem solving.

  • Adaptive decision making.

  • Relevant experience of change management.

  • Relevant experience of stakeholder management and good interpersonal skills.

  • Effective Communication, including verbal, report writing & presentations skills.

  • Excellent Planning & execution skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, experience in using Jira and/or equivalent systems.

  • Holds or has the ability to hold appropriate level(s) of Security Clearance.

Typically qualified to degree level or equivalent professional experience and/or with recognised qualifications.

Holding one of the following certifications would be preferred/desirable:


  • ITIL Foundation


  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of the end-to-end bid process.

  • Demonstrate your ability to support assurance of standard, non-standard & complex bids.

  • Assist the team in achieving key milestones within the Service Delivery strategy.

  • Lead on a number of key projects.

  • Achieve 1 or more Security/Service Management certifications.
