The RCA Governance and Operations Manager and the rest of the Internal Controls, Assurance and Governance team are at the heart of this activity in the Business CFU, working across all departments, verticals, levels and regions to keep BT Business safe and enable it to achieve its objectives, be trusted by customers and connect for good.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning and managing the RCA governance framework (LT RCA sessions, Regional/Global/BLT RCA Reviews, Business ARCs) ensuring its implementation, and working with stakeholders to improve and enhance as required

  • Ensure timely reporting and associated coordination on behalf of BT Business and be responsible for pulling together Audit and Risk Committee decks, RME reports, control dashboards and any other reporting in line with requirements.

  • Acting as primary point of contact for Group Risk, CFU/CU RCA teams and GRC teams on reporting queries;

  • Leading on dot joining/horizon scanning on RCA activity across Group/CFUs/GRCs and developing insights to be used by the BRCA team both internally and with its stakeholders

  • Managing and facilitating RCA-related communications and awareness activities across the Unit and regions

  • Lead on data management within ARTEMIS for all things RCA

  • Owning/maintaining BRCA internal and external facing Teams/intranet sites

  • Implements programmes of assurance methodologies and outputs to assigned business units, highlighting key initiatives, regulatory trends and areas of concern.

  • Contributes towards projects and initiatives that contribute to the development of a future facing and resilient RCA function capable of predicting current or future risk trends in the business environment, driving the execution of suitable strategies to proactively mitigate anticipated risks and demonstrate potential opportunities.

  • Mentors other Business Assurance professionals, helping to improve the team’s abilities by acting as a technical resource.

  • Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in Business Assurance.

Skills:

Collaboration: successful experience of working in a collaborative manner across multiple teams, with diverse skills and experience, to deliver at pace and drive change, and encourage learning across BT.

Clear Communication: the ability to communicate in a way that is appropriate to the situation, understandable to audience and demonstrating a constructive, assured and non-confrontational manner.

Data Management and Reporting: The ability to manage and analyze large data sets and prepare clear and insightful reporting and metrics.

Be Agile: You lead collaborative ways of working and continuous improvement. You encourage their adoption where necessary to deliver the best results for the customer.

Integrity and Honesty: Doing the right thing and a willingness to speak up, challenge and hold to account.

Advanced level of business assurance, internal control management and business improvement.

Experience:

  • Experience in a risk, compliance or assurance function of a large multinational company and an understanding of risk, control and assurance framework and systems (mandatory)

  • Experience drafting and presenting reports and presentations to senior leadership (mandatory)

  • Experience in an operational role (preferred)

  • The ability to work in a virtual team (mandatory)

  • Previous experience in the telco sector (preferred)
