Why this role matters
This role supports the delivery of audits in a professional manner to enable Group Internal Audit to provide independent and objective assurance to senior management and the Board, via the Board Audit & Risk Committee. This includes the tracking and testing of management actions to address audit findings to confirm resolution. Engages throughout the audit process with stakeholders in a customer-connected manner to provide high quality, reliable, efficient service and experience.
What you'll be doing
Supporting the delivery of assigned audits, inputting to planning, execution and reporting as required. Work to be completed in a risk assessed, timely, and focused manner, utilising data analytics tools where appropriate
Participating in discussions at planning meetings and exit meetings with senior management; leading on assigned audit areas presenting reports/findings which clearly reflect the audit results
Tracking agreed audit actions to ensure implementation is achieved against targets and that the remediation is effective
Supporting with preparation of reports and presentations for senior management forums and other meetings as required
Contributing to initiatives underpinning the RCA goals and objectives as opportunities arise

Qualifications: To be newly qualified or significantly progressed in your studies in one of the following: CIA or IT audit equivalent or an accounting qualification such as ACCA/CIMA/ACA for finance roles Alternatively you will have other specialist expertise and be keen to pursue a professional qualification
Ideally have experience of auditing, internal and/ or external
Strong verbal and written communication skills: must be able to convey audit findings and similar matters in a way that is impactful and succinct to business audiences at all levels
Story-telling with data: strong skills in extracting risks and controls insights drawing on data and analytical techniques where appropriate
Project management: strong time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise commitments and deliver to agreed timescales
Able to demonstrate ongoing CPD
