To lead and manage the team to ensure the delivery of multiple significant workplace construction projects and programmes to time, quality and budget. This ensures the suitability and first class provision of a physical workplace environment that engages colleagues and drives engagement.

What you'll be doing

I lead and manage the team to develop project scopes and briefs with CFU leads for delivery by the outsourced partners.

  • Oversee and monitor the translation of the P&FS design guidelines in to specific designs, acting as the central point of consistency and quality for our workplace design.

  • Deliver on the workplace transformation aspects of the One BT strategy by delivering the designs that provide engaging workplaces for all BT and Openreach colleagues within my region.

  • Develop and lead a significant and complex regional plan, alongside Openreach and Technology to deliver on the decommissioning and handback of telephone exchanges within their region to the overall schedule.

  • Monitor project and programme activity through third party delivery partners ensuring completion to time, quality and in budget.

  • Manage a team to execute property strategy and provide services to a number of sites, or a specific geographic region, contributing to policy discussions and implementing policy decisions within own area.

  • Coordinate day to day management of property projects to drive the ongoing delivery of property strategy and plans.

  • Provide technical expertise, strategic consultancy to the business and thought leadership, ensuring feasibility of projects and programmes and delivery of real property and commercial benefit to the business unit or region of responsibility.

  • Identify and execute opportunities to deliver financial savings across the property portfolio within area of responsibility.

  • Maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships for the best possible value and return on investment for BT.

  • Stakeholder engagement : able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders to fully understand and meet their needs.

  • Contract and supplier management : able to effectively drive strategic partners to deliver on our strategy in an ethical, commercially efficient and service orientated way.

  • Analysis and storytelling with data : an ability to assimilate large quantities of complex information with a view to extracting points of relevance quickly and the ability to convey this in a compelling and persuasive way.

  • People management: ability to manage and lead a geographically dispersed team, driving great performance and engagement.

  • Understanding of regulatory framework : knowledge of local regulatory framework to support the compliant delivery of workplace services.

Understanding the wider workplace strategy, ensuring briefs meet the needs of customers and property design guidelines.

  • In-depth knowledge of construction project management is essential

  • RICs qualified.

  • Experience of delivery of multiple significant programmes to time, quality and budget is essential.

  • Experience of managing a team is essential.

  • Ability to demonstrate innovative and creative thinking to create engaging workplace designs is desirable.
