What you'll be doing
Enterprise is one of the key growth areas for BT and as part of its exciting transformation, the Marketing & Digital teams from both areas have come together to ensure strategic alignment across the business.Our digital function underpins all of these services, providing self serve operations for the 1400
Communication providers through BTWholesale.com and MyBTWholesale, sales leads for each of our growing ventures businesses as well as B2C experiences within growing areas such as the phone book. It’s a diverse but hugely exciting portfolio of products. The digital team owns all internal and externalplatforms including Email, Social, Web and apps.
Our UI Designer will be responsible for creating visually stunning digital experiences that delight our end users. You’ll be responsible for taking the wireframes created by our UX team and bringing them to life for our customers, creating pixel perfect, on brand and beautiful designs.
You’ll need to be an expert in Sketch taking the great low fidelity work that the UX design team completes and finessing it to overlay the visual design. Once complete, you’ll then move your pixel perfect designs into Zeplin to allow our development team to build from your specification.
You’ll be responsible for the style guide for the Wholesale and Ventures websites, working along side other areas of the business such as Brand, TSO and other lines of business to ensure it’s consistent with other areas of BT.You’ll also be responsible for working really closely with our technology colleagues to sign off.
You’ll be responsible for thinking about the information architecture of our websites, the hierarchy of content on the page and the interactions that we want our customers to have with our digital channels.
You’ll be working alongside our newly formed digital product management team, to understand requirements and build a customer centric digital roadmap for our products, our production team to sign off developed and launch ready code, our technology team to bring your designs to life, our user researcher to validate your design decisions with customers, our copywriter to ensure your work sticks to our tone of voice, and business stakeholders to get them bought into your ideas - a really wide and diverse set of people.
You’ll be working in Sketch to bring your ideas and flows to life, passing your low fidelity wireframes across to our Digital UI specialists to bring them into the high fidelity world.
You’ll be customer obsessed. You’ll need to understand the customer segments using the digital products you’ll be working on - and from the explanation above, you’ll see that it’s a broad set of customers and demographics. You’ll work with our Customer Experience and Insights team and our Brand Insights team to get a deep knowledge of the customer.You’ll also be data obsessed. You’ll work closely with our digital analytics specialist to understand how our current digital estate is performing, and analyse the work that you put live to optimise moving forward.

We'll also need to see these on your CV
Hands on experience in designing and delivering digital interfaces in web and mobile.
Experience on using tools including Sketch, Zeplin, and Adobe Creative Cloud
Experience in presenting digital UI to a broad range of stakeholders including developers, business product owners, directors and marketing teams.
Experience in working in a creative environment within a large FTSE100 company
Experience in working with B2B products and customers
