Corporate Functions help deliver our strategy and plans for growth. We shape and steer the direction of the business by managing our people, finances, shared services and buildings. We also oversee our legal, regulatory and compliance obligations too.

Through a deep understanding of workplace services I am accountable for working with CFUs/CUs and the FM services partner on the delivery of market leading workplace and FM services to BT. This includes resolution of complex and high-profile workplace incidents, focusing on delivery of current and future proofed workplace and FM service delivery for One BT.

What you'll be doing

I provide strategic input and thought leadership for brilliant, compliant and cost effective workplace service delivery operations.

  • Guide BT's workplace partners in the effective execution of the P&FS balanced scorecard.

  • Lead the team on resolving workplace related escalations with the FM services partner and CFUs through to completion and proactively identifying changes to service approach which may avoid future issues.

  • Maintain control of the facilities services budget through financial approvals & stewardship and effective contract change management control.

  • Prioritise approving small works within budget and support CFUs in realising value for money.

  • Proactively monitor service levels and progress against the balanced scorecard by estate type through service progress reviews with CFUs and FM services partners.

  • Mitigate business disruption events through ensuring effective FM activity and supporting CFUs in driving colleague behaviours.

  • Manage a team to execute property strategy and provide services to a number of sites, or a specific geographic region, contributing to policy discussions and implementing policy decisions within own area.

  • Coordinate day to day management of building facilities and operability and leads property projects to drive the ongoing delivery of property strategy and plans.

  • Provide technical expertise, strategic consultancy to the business and thought leadership, ensuring feasibility of projects and programmes.

  • Identify and execute opportunities to deliver financial savings across the property portfolio within area of responsibility.

  • Maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships, supporting the negotiating of deals with strategic delivery partners for the best possible value and return on investment for BT

  • Stakeholder engagement : able to engage effectively with senior stakeholders to fully understand and meet their needs.

  • Contract and supplier management : able to effectively drive strategic partners to deliver on our strategy in an ethical, commercially efficient and service orientated way.

  • Business acumen: Knowledgeable in business strategy and the drivers of organisational performance, including people drivers of performance and financial literacy (e.g. business KPIs, business cases).

  • People management: ability to manage and lead a geographically dispersed team, driving great performance and engagement.

We'll also need to see these on your CV

Have in depth and expert knowledge of delivering FM service standards and delivery models and ability to translate to complex BT estate and building usage profiles.

  • Mitigate business disruption events through ensuring effective FM activity and supporting CFUs in driving colleague behaviours.

  • Numerate, and have strong analytical and commercial skills in order to manage £100m of high volume activity across UK.

  • Have experience of delivering compelling and inspiring business communications up to a senior level, with experience of delivery to exec level desirable.
