What you'll be doing
o Configuration on the networks to facilitate the effective delivery of service to customers
o Supporting the strategic development and implementation of consistent data standards for all platforms as appropriate ensuring operational efficiency
o Maintaining and developing Configuration processes and local work instructions to continually improve operational effectiveness and efficiencies
o Providing support to key customer interfaces for complex technical issues and design input
o Encouraging an effective team geared to meeting the needs of our customers and the targets, milestones and programmes
o Providing support to line management to ensure delivery of key business targets and dates agreed
o Helping to generate and deliver opportunities for process and organisation change
o Assisting, supporting and sometimes leading in wider team initiatives including projects, activities and meetings
o Inputting into reviews of team practice and performance with other parts of BT with a view to ensuring continuous improvement of service
o To support and maintain clear SLA’s with interfacing area’s ensuring that all SLA’s are met or exceeded
o To provide input to Product and development research for proposed and required Network enhancements
o Liaising with external BT customers’ representatives through correct governance channels to ensure that work is completed to the correct requirements
o Liaising with internal BT customers
o Providing input to feasibility studies of defined Managed Service Projects and Planning requests with feedback of comprehensive impact analysis
o Providing operational engineering support for core & local network configuration
o Raising issues identified that present threats or risks to network capacity and billing integrity

We'll also need to see these on your CV
• Data configuration – System X, DMS100 or Next Generation C20 platforms – very useful but not essential
• Experience in provisioning across platforms
• Analysis and Problem solving
• Good Customer focus/relationship management
• Communication (written and verbal)
