ROLE TITLE: Analista de Tecnologia da Informação - SAP Basis

LOCATION: Hortolandia, SP Brasil

Purpose Of Role:

  • The resource will be responsible to provide technical administration, housekeeping, ongoing activities for BT internal and external SAP customers, according to SAP recommendations and best-practices;

  • Will be responsible to process incidents, service requests, changes and RCA analysis related to SAP technology;

  • Act as a technical project resource for all SAP complex activities like, new installations, upgrades, migration, deployments.

  • The role holder should leverage the experience of the relevant BT wide professional communities to discharge these responsibilities, thus ensuring knowledge sharing extends beyond the functional boundary of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Incidents, Service requests, Changes and RCA studies, prioritizing tickets according to SLAs / SLOs of each customer.

  • Plan, raise requisites, write, prepare, test, implement changes request, and assure the success of implementation.

  • Detect and address improvements, new functionalities, best-practices provided by SAP, which can be implemented on customers environments.

  • Provide technical guidance, and address questions / concerns from the application and developer teams.

  • Keep updated all internal customers documents and controls;

  • Analyze the EWA and EWC reports from the customers, identify and report improvements and recommendations, elaborate implementation plans from the recommendations.

  • Elaborate, compose and write technical procedures, diagrams, and/or project documents.

  • Create standards and operational procedures.

  • Provide support on projects, carrying out elements of the research, analysis, execution, and/or delivery.

  • Provide operational support ensuring KPIs and SLA are achieved.

  • To draft reports and discuss recommendations based on research with their manager.

  • Share expertise with peers.

  • Occasionally provides on the job training to other team members.

  • To personally participate in and contribute to BT wide professional community activities where applicable e.g. knowledge sharing, best practice within BT and external industry.

  • To use the relevant BT wide professional community framework to raise their skills and those of their team to the recommended PC standards.

  • Contribute up to date detailed technology know-how to projects.

  • Would generally act under supervision but may be required, Out Of Hours, to work in isolation and take professional decisions to restore critical business functionality for SAP mission-critical systems.

  • Identifies unusual technical problems.

  • Responds to client requests in non-standard situations, and investigates all the facts.

  • Understands the key business drivers; and uses this knowledge to focus own work.

  • Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations; is able to generate possible solutions and assess each using standard procedures, leading to a sound decision.

  • Complete Superior Degree on Computer Engineering, Computer Science, System Analyst, or any other areas related to IT, Computer or Network.

  • 3 years of experience in SAP Systems administration and management, including Netweaver and Business Suite products, including SAP ECC, BI, PI, Portal, and Solution Manager.

  • Knowledge of ITIL process.

  • Advanced English for reading, writing and conversation.

Differentials / Nice to have:

  • DBA skills or certification on any of the following RDBMS systems: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres or MySQL;

  • Operation systems: Windows, Linux, Unix, or Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure;

  • Any SAP technical certification;

  • ITIL certification.


  • SAP Netweaver server deploy / installation;

  • OS-Platforms (Windows Server / Linux / etc) administration according to SAP best-practices;

  • RDBMS installation and configuration according to SAP installation guides;

  • RDBMS patches upgrade according to SAP installation best-practices;

  • SAP System Kernel update;

  • SAP Servicetools update (ST/PI – ST/A-PI);

  • SAP Support Packages / Patches implementation using SUM tool;

  • SAP QA refresh using the HSC (homogeneous system copy) strategy;

  • Analyze and apply SAP Earlywatch Alert / SMA reports recommendations;

  • SAP Tuning / resource analysis and parameters maintenance;

  • SAP Jobs / background processing scheduling and administration;

  • SAP Spool system / printers / TemSe administration;

  • SAP Processing and long-running tasks administration (SM50 / SM51 / SM66);

  • SAP Response Time Analysis using;

  • Perform and analyze SAP system traces;

  • SAP users and authorizations (profile/roles) administration;

  • SAP Client administration (open / close / modification settings change);

  • SAP CTS / Change request administration, configuration and transports (STMS);

  • RDBMS Database space administration and Performance analysis (DBACOCKPIT);

  • SAP System Stop / Start;

  • Download and apply SAP notes;

  • SAP connection management to OSS support;

  • SAP jobs configuration, scheduling, administration and monitoring;

  • SAP printers and spool system management;

  • Full knowledge SAP System monitoring (CCMS) operational, configuration, and monitoring procedures;

  • SAP Licenses and Maintenance Certificates management;

  • SAP notes correction implementation and deimplementation (SNOTE);

  • Provide technical guidance to application / functional and development teams;

  • SAP Solution Manager tasks (configure landscape (SLD / LMDB), Configure and generate Earlywatch alerts (EWA/EWC), Configure CEN, Solution Monitoring, Perform installation and administration of Diagnostic Agents and Willy Introscope).

  • SAP Web Dispatcher Installation, administration and monitoring.
