Successful partnerships are vital to our bold vision for New EE – unlocking opportunities to lead in new categories. As part of the New EE strategy, we are pushing into a number of New Markets with Consumer Electronics a core new vertical. While we have been selling some of the CE categories on a small scale for a number of years, moving forward we are set to create a £1bn+ CE business offering a broad set of products to the UK market at large. In order to succeed in this space we need CE specialists to shape this new CE business and in particular ensure we have the right strategic approach, partners and devices to support the scale of ambition.
The Portfolio team are accountable for seeking out the innovation, reviewing, showcasing and recommending the device categories to support the EE strategy. This CE portfolio category role requires expert knowledge to ensure EE can be a leader in the UK market.
This role will need to have impact to work cross cross-functionally to drive an ongoing programme of portfolio updates and recommendations, ensuring EE is 1st and leading in the UK market.
What you’ll be doing
Evaluation of the market for all CE categories setting out the scale and opportunity to match EE strategy.
Recommendation for appropriate ranging to underpin EE share ambitions.
Lead and innovate the various categories by identifying trends, new products and identifying NPI and exclusives.
Cyclical management of ranges to optimise EOL and NPI and bring ongoing innovation but maximising revenue and share.
Partner engagement for roadmap scoping and annual planning
Showcasing of portfolio opportunities and manage ongoing ranges through agreed processes.
Showcasing and driving ad hoc opportunities when identified.
Represent the CE business at industry and external events as required.
Closely collaborate with Partnership Marketing Managers, Partnership commercial managers, CE Category Managers, Supply Chain and procurement
The skills and experience you will have under your belt
Substantial knowledge and broad experience in CE category(s) and in particular across White and Brown goods
Monthly ,Quarterly and Annual rolling planning skills
Ability to quickly establish credibility and respect and build strong working relationships with your stakeholders pan Consumer and BT
Demonstrable professionalism with a proven ability to operate in a complex, fast paced matrixed business environment
Data focused to ensure recommendations are fact based to drive commercial outcomes
Bold and confident thinking, challenging the status quo where appropriate
Proven ability in making things happen – translate solutions into creation and delivery of practical and workable marketing plans that have a commercial / business impact
Commercial Acumen – strong awareness of the value of opportunities as they arise, and ability to manage multiple variables to deliver a strong commercial outcome.
Negotiation - confident in driving fast paced negotiations, with a clear understanding of deal value and ideal outcomes for EE and our partnerships
