Specialist Network Engineer – BT One Cloud Cisco/Hosted Collaboration Solutions

To provide third level product support, consult on customer complex designs and oversee customer delivery on One Cloud Cisco services for Americas based clients. Identifying and resolving product and deployment problems whilst supporting regional account and Global Customer Service teams deliver client solutions Right-First-Time. This role is an extension of the existing UK based team expanding BT’s One Cloud Cisco support capability into US working hours for Americas’ customers.
What you’ll be doing
Americas working hours third level/product support for BT’s One Cloud Cisco/HCS service
Owning the resolution of third level/tier 3 product & service issues raised in the Americas
Follow-The-Sun: Taking over the resolution of critical/high priority Rest of World problems outside of UK working hours
Consultation with the regional Client Services Designers and Sales Specialists on Americas complex deals ensuring that all non-standard/complex requirements are fully captured, have solutions identified with designs properly costed including delivery resources for customer transformation
Supporting Client Service delivery teams and GCS on customer deployments
Working as an extension of the UK based product development and support teams for One Cloud Cisco
Working closely with the BT One Portfolio team identifying any regional requirements that may impact BT’s ability to provide service in the Americas (regulatory, e911 etc.)
Working with Portfolio and Procurement, taking responsibility for the technical sections and supplier evaluations within RFI/RFP responses and other supplier or customer bid documentation.
Actively support customer meetings and presentations remotely and face to face when necessary

Recognized industry accreditation at a minimum of CCNA/CCDP level or 8 years’ equivalent and demonstrable experience
Design, development or product/tier 3 support of Hosted Unified Communication service platforms based on Cisco HCS technology
Strong IPT background with hands on experience with:
Cisco Call Manager
Voice and media gateways both digital and analogue
Cisco Unity Connection / Express
Protocols: H.323, RTP, MGCP, SIP, SCCP
Attendant Consoles (CUEAC / CUACEE)
Knowledge of CUCDM and VOSS4UC
Strong troubleshooting skills to analyze logs and Wireshark snoops
Strong IP Routing Switching background
Implementation and delivery experience of Cisco IPT infrastructure
Hands on experience of migrating client sites and end users to Cisco IPT solutions
Able to understand complex dial plans and implement them in CUCM / Unity Connection
Familiar with integration of CUCM systems via inter cluster trunks
Experience working directly with customers in both pre-sales and delivery cycles
Able to identify and address the Legal & Regulatory concerns of operating a global hosted service in the Americas
Delivering presentations to a customer at a senior management level.
Working with other teams such as legal or service design to provide quality input into contract documentation and other areas such as service level agreements (SLAs)
Providing accuracy & quality when being asked to deliver under pressure.
Prioritization and application of time management principles
Successful in maintaining productive working relationships with other departments and disciplines, especially with GS account teams, Sales Specialists and Client Services
